Ingredients
2 medium karela
2 flakes of garlic
1/2 tsp. garam masala
1/2 tsp.red chilli powder
1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
Method
- First soak karela in salt-water(1 glass of water and 1 tbsp of salt) for 1/2-N-hour.
- After 1/2-N-hour, cut karela into circular thin rings. Chop garlic.
- Heat oil in a heavy pan.
- Add cumin seeds, allow to splutter.
- Add garlic, stir till pink .
- Now add karela rings and mix.
- Add red chilli powder,masala,turmeric powder and salt.
- Add little water and keep stirring after few mins.
- Cook for 10-15 mins on gentle flame.
- Serve hot with rotis,parathas or rice.
