Menthikoora pappu

Ingredients
Menthi koora (Fenugreek) - 1 bunch
Medium Sized onion- 1 ( finely chopped)
Medium Sized tomato - 1 (diced)
Tamarind Pulp - 2 tbsp
Kandi pappu ( toor dal) - 1 cup
Green Chillies - 4 (cut length wise)

For Tempering
Mustard seeds (aavaau) -1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds (jeelakarra )-1/2 tsp
Bengal gram (minapa pappu) - 1tsp
Red Chillies - 2
Asafeotida (hing, hingu, inguva) - pinch
Turmeric (pasupu)- pinch
Curry Leaves (kari vepaku) - 10
Ghee - 1 tbsp

Procedure

Pressure cook fenugreek leaves, toor dal, tamarind pulp, turmeric, onions, green chillies, tomatoes with sufficient water. Add salt according to taste and keep aside. Then hear the ghee and all the ingredients for tempering and pour into the cooked dal and it looks like this

This can be served with hot rice and or small gourd (dondakaaya) fry.
